Nasiha Education & Welfare Trust (NEWT): A Commitment to Education and Community Development

Established in 2003, Nasiha Education & Welfare Trust (NEWT) is a registered educational and social development organization that has been a beacon of hope for the people of Nallasopara, located in the Thane district. Over the years, NEWT has initiated various community-based development programs with a special focus on improving education and the well-being of children.

Our Mission and Vision

NEWT’s mission is to provide quality education and foster the natural skills and creative faculties of vulnerable and deprived children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. We believe that every child deserves an equal opportunity to succeed, regardless of their socio-economic status. Our vision is to create a joyful, child-friendly learning environment that encourages holistic development and nurtures a lifelong love for learning.

Our main purpose is to give education and marketable vocational training to impoverished children and families in Thane's rural districts, allowing them to steer their life in a more promising direction by being economically self-sufficient.

GOALS

Counsel parents/guardians/locals in these communities on the necessity of educating their children and the bad consequences for
their future.
Enroll children in school and give them an education, counseling, and encouragement as needed.
Free education for underprivileged and parentless children.
Raise awareness of child labor, bonded labor, and all of its negative consequences, as well as the need to educate children
